NetSuite Advanced PDF Templates
NetSuite’s Advanced PDF/HTML Templates feature is a robust feature that offers a variety of choices for the creation and personalization of PDF documents. One of its major benefits includes the ability to embed conditional logic into print templates, facilitating dynamic content customization based on specific field values.
In this article, we will guide you how to create a PDF Template .
To utilize the Advanced PDF templates and the template editor, the Advanced PDF/HTML Template feature needs to be Enabled.
Enabling Advanced PDF Template Feature :
Go to Setup > Company > Enable Features
On the SuiteCloud tab, under the SuiteBuilder section, ensure that the Advanced PDF/HTML Templates box is checked.
Step 1: Creating a New PDF Template
The first step is to create a new PDF Template, Navigate to Customizations > Forms > Advanced PDF/HTML Templates.
Click on the “Customize/Edit” button next to your preferred Advanced PDF/HTML Template.
Proceed by selecting the “Template Setup” option, Enter the title you prefer into the Title field, and then confirm by clicking “Save”.
Step 2 : Switching the Source Code view on and off.
On the top right corner of your screen, you’ll find an option called source code. Click on this to view the code for your PDF template.
Step 3: Implementing the Filtering Condition.
Customize the Code Based on your requirements.
Click on the Save Button.
Step 4: Applying the New Printing Form on the Vendor Bill Form
The final step is to apply your PDF Template to the Vendor Bill Custom form.
Navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms. Click “Edit” next to your preferred Vendor Bill Custom Form.
